I'm Brave - I Think!

I've entered Peyton in a NADAC trial up in Ocala this weekend! He's improved so much over the past few months that I think I'm prepared to give it another go. And actually, I feel pretty good about it - well, except for the fact that they changed the trial location after I entered. We've never been to this location, so it should be interesting...for Indy too!

At this point, my only expectations are for us to have a good time and to use this trial as a great training opportunity. I feel like I learned quite a bit from our first trial attempts and this time I have more of a game plan - which is always a good thing. I'm going to try my best to take my time and try to keep the ring experience positive. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect a little more focus this time around - and if I don't have it, I'll need to adjust my plan. Easier said than done, but we'll see!

We've had a lot of fun in class this week! Peyton is doing so well with a running start - I can't say I enjoy it as much, but if it keeps him happy, I'll keep working on it.

Here's a video from tonight's class which included a tricky Excellent jumpers course from the trial this weekend. Once I figured out how to run a straight line without getting lost or running over Peyton, it went pretty well! :)

And here's a little video from last night's run...yee-haw!

Peyton looks great! Next weekend, we'll be sending you a bunch of good spot mojo. Tess is also trialing that weekend in USDAA, so I hope it's a good weekend for all the spotties!
