Our New Home

Away from home...I finally got around to taking a few pictures of our new training club today. Our agility field is awesome! Peyton did a little modeling while we were out working on recalls and stays...

Here is the new and improved Sarasota Obedience Training Club, also appropriately known as "the barn".

SOTC's open house was a huge success! We had a great turnout and met a lot of new folks and their awesome pups. Hopefully, everyone had a great time and will join us for classes.

SOTC Open House

Our training club is having an open house tomorrow to celebrate our brand new location in Manatee County. There's lots of fun stuff planned, including some agility demos that the spotties will participate in - well Indy, at least...I'm not sure about Peyton yet. :)

We stopped by the club this afternoon to drop off this awesome cake that Lyndsy of Pastries by Design made for us. It looks so yummy - can't wait to try it!

Peyton Rocked This Week

Peyton did very well in class this week! He's still acting a little quirky at the start line, but not as bad as he has been in prior weeks. Last night we had some extra nice runs that I was really looking forward to seeing on tape, but when I got home I found out they didn't record. *Sigh* - why does that always seem to happen?

Anyway, I still managed to get a few nice sequences on tape. The first part is from last night's class - it was freezing! And the second part is from class on Monday night. Warning: my videographer decided to get fancy on me and try to move around while taping so it's a little Blair Witch-like at first. :)

I'm starting to feel like we are *really* close to putting it all together. Now, if I can just get a little more focus, and a better handle on our start line, I'll be thrilled. But in the meantime, we're really having a lot of fun... :)

The spotties and I would like to wish my dad a very happy birthday today...Peyton says "I want cake!!" :)

More Spots By The Bay

Bayfront Trip!

Since it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, we took Peyton to one of my favorite spots - Bayfront Park in downtown Sarasota.

It was really breezy though and I think Peyton almost flew away...check out them ears!





At one point, I thought maybe his ears flew off...



Nope, there they are!





But then they disappeared again, and out came the tongue...



It's been a while since we've taken Peyton down to the Bayfront, since usually it can be a little stimulus-overload. Today however, he did really well...there were tons of dogs and kids running all over the place, but he was a very good spotty.

Of course, he did get a lot of treats... :)
