Friday afternoon: "LOOK MOM! The GOLDENS are HERE! The Goldens are HERE in MY HOUSE! Hey did you not notice - the Goldens are HERE!"
Saturday morning: "Mom, why are the Goldens still here (insert pout)...in MY house?"
Poor spotty boy was SO confused. It was pretty funny...at one point in the morning Finn grabbed one of his toys (wanting Peyton to play with him) and Peyton gave me one of the most pitiful, pouty looks I've ever seen. He was like "Um, mom - he's got MY toy". I really wish I had it on camera. :)
We all survived the weekend and despite Peyton's confusion, everyone got along great. He finally seemed to get settled on Saturday night and the boys played together, but it wasn't at all what I expected. I knew that the Goldens would be good, but I didn't expect Peyton to be so CALM. Here's a little video of them goofing off in the back yard...
You might notice that a certain spotty missing. Indy spent the weekend with my parents - she likes the Goldens (and generally is much more dog-friendly than Peyton), but I figured having them in HER house would blow her spotty mind. She gets out of sorts if I move a piece of furniture. Silly girl.
It was a fun weekend...although I will say that I can now really appreciate having short haired dogs. Every time Finn and Riley came in from outside I think they brought in half of my backyard with them! :)

Where's Indy when all this "golden love" is taking place?
Whoops.....READ TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BLOG, SHERRI!!;)
Probably a good move, Kim.....LOL.
What great visitors to play with, Peyton, but if your mom is not wild about golden coats, what would she think of a Herd of Siberians. Talk about a bad influence. Ahrrooooo!
Sherri, I'm so glad to see you read my blog so thoroughly. LOL! :)
And I can't imagine Siberian coats either! Although they *are* very pretty to look at...
Tess and Jazz have two Golden cousins. They are a lot of fun...but HAIRY!! Looks like Peyton enjoyed his Golden weekend, and I'm sure Indy enjoyed being pampered by Grandma and Grandpa!!
They are so hairy!! Sophie has a manageable coat, but the boys have these super thick, never trimmed, rugs. I'm still finding yellow fur balls around the house!
Indy always has a great time at grandma's...I knew she would be much happier there. :)
Peyton is so lucky to have "golden" friends, & for a sleepover no less! Sounds like all had fun!!
Thanks for the fun golden video, Kim... today's been a tough day, and it brought a smile to my face. :) And of course, that forever desire of mine to add another dal to the mix again....
